G.K. Pillai named for new Home Secretary
Commerce Secretary Gopal Krishna Pillai (G.K Pillai) will take over as Union Home Secretary on June 30. Mr. Pillai, who will have a two-year tenure, succeeds Madhukar Gupta, who retires on June 30 after the three-month extension comes to an end. Mr. Pillai will move to the Home Ministry on June 11 and serve as Office on Special Duty till June 30. Source
