Pateti, a festival of the Parsis (Zoroastrian community) is celebrated on the eve of New Year of the Zoroastrian calendar.

On Pateti day, parsi families visit fire temple, other parsi families and exchange gifts and sweets.

Pateti day is actually a day of introspection, and originally occurred on the last day of the Parsi calendar year. The last day of the Pateti come to fall on the first day of the New Year. Advertisements
