Parsi New Year, Jamshedi Navroz is the Parsi New Year, Tacquim-e-Nowrooze-e-Sheheriyari. Parsi New Year was named after the legendary King of Persia, Jamshed who started the Parsi Calendar. It is said that Jamshed was a great king and cared for the welfare of his subjects. As per the Parsi mythology, universe is recreated on this day and life with all its glory is cherished.
