The design of the National Flag of India was adopted by India's constituent assembly on 22nd July, 1947 and its use and display were regulated by a code announced in year 1950. Indian National Flag is in tricolor; so it is called as “TIRANGA” the colors of the flag are deep saffron (kesaria) at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom. The Indian National flag is a horizontal tricolor in equal proportion. Their ratio of the width to length is two is to three (2:3). In the middle of the white color band a wheel in navy blue color is situated. This wheel is also called “Dharma chakra” and it has 24 spokes.
